Me too except I had to fully clip the track. I wouldn't run them on a track clipped every 3rd window.
I've read that as well about the DuPont slides. I run the kimpex white slides and a loose track and have no issues. The black slides seem to have worn 3 times as fast for some reason

The natural colour of plastic is white....they put dye in them to make them black (or other colours), which causes them to heat up, thus wearing out faster
all new Poo's come with white sliders

I got 4100km out of my stock set of sliders with a 1.75 track and no scratchers and no other wheels. I always pull off into the snow every couple miles on the trail to cool and lubricate.

I had couple of sets of blue ones, most was 500kms on them. Changed to white, with Excell wheels, over 3000kms, and minimal wear.

The xtx's seem to where badly at the back near the tip up.
Changing to duponts will seriously extend life (I can get an easy 4000km now on a set of them)
I now run oversize wheels, the front marginal snow wheel kit and duponts.
Slider wear is way more reasonable - even when conditions arent ideal.

My track was as loose as possible without ratcheting. Still heated up the track and you'd smell burning rubber, not plastic. Fully clipped now and all good.I've read that as well about the DuPont slides. I run the kimpex white slides and a loose track and have no issues. Had no issue with stock graphites and no extra wheels, slides would wear in spots then stop. I just thought I'd be proactive and upgrade to duponts last yr. should have left it alone. Landed up costing me $$ for clip tool, clips, and extra $$ to go to duponts.
Complained to dealer and they said never heard such a thing....complained to different dealer this weekend and they said they would have made yam I warranty it. Guess I'll be using dealer #2 from now on.
Off topic but.....That same dealer also told me yami has an abundance of mpi trail superchargers they are selling to dealers for $1800, and they would sell to me for $2200. Great deal if anyone is interested ask your dealer.

I had a dealer offer me an MIP for $1500 or $2000 installed! Just couldn't swing it at the time and need to get it to handle better first.

yeah well new slides, wheel kit, should be good to go. He never checked how tight his track was but with the tip up area acting like a point sticking out I can see how that would become a problem. I got mine about 1 turn away from ratcheting so its super loose!

1500.00 ? Huh . For that price I'd do it . I would love to have a trail charger but hate the thought of dropping several grand. Maybe it will become a reality yet..

There are many variables but to wear slides out that fast I'd think you were in low snow conditions. You may want a set of scratchers to start. I have a 13 with a 1.75" track and I'm close to 2000 miles on stock with plenty of life left. I ride in good loose snow most of the time but will put scratchers down on cold hard pack trails.
