My XTX SE started this ratcheting noise around the 365 mile mark last night. I could cruise along at 30 or 40MPH but when I stabbed the throttle hard it would make this nasty ratcheting sound right underneath me and I could feel it too. I wouldn't think is was the belt slipping cuz as I say I could hear and feel it right underneath my butt so it was happening in the middle part of the tunnel.

I think my track has loosened up and is too loose and that's what's causing the ratcheting. It needs to go in for it's first service, chain tension, etc. so I'll see what the dealer has to say.

Any comments......what do y'all think ??

BTW.....275 miles yesterday.......I'm a bit sore.......but the machine is broken in now....LOL !!

Track or chain ???

Just check tension on both. Why wait for the dealer.

Look for ice on track also. Can make some noise like that also but usually goes away rather fast.

Not seeing any ice on the track or even enough on the tunnel to make that noise. Still on the trailer......I'll let the dealer have a look at it tomorrow.
