I'm seriously thinking of getting a 2007 Phazer FX. My curent ride is a 2002 MXZ 600. I'm concerned with the power. What have you guys done to boost the power of these short of a Turbo? And what are the Pro's of doing these Mods? I havent riden a Phazer yet (Only Sat on one). I like they way they seat you (Rider Forward). Please give me some feed back on some of the upgrades you have done. Thanks for your time.

The only gaurunteed way of more power right now, is the SLP intake flow rites, about 2-4 HP depending on your particular install.

Stock power is enough for me on the short tracks, although leaves me wanting more on the MnTn / Venture Lite.

The GT is an awesome trail sled once you add the side panels and the fan.

I did some other tweaks to make mine more enjoyable such as 6" carbides on MnTn 8" Skis hehe.

And a trunk bag, DC outlet, radiator gaurds etc.

I like it, accelleration is great, wouldnt be so concerned with power, its just a number, we all know its not a lake sled. Top end is 85 mph.

BV if I come up there in April I'll show you what a turbo will do. It's actually sometimes scary but FUN. It's fun to see the guys face on the 800 when you go past him on a Phazer.

dyno jet is coming out with a controller, i added the ulmer clutch kit and excell exhaust, that lightened alittle, on radar i've had it to 90, it goes awesome from 0-60, great in the trail's, was alittle tippy lowered it about an 1 1/2" and added slt ski's, got 72 pick's, but next year i'll add somemore pick's to about 96 and close the tunnel, i feel the tunnel being opened is dangerous to much ice build up in the foot well's, for a first year machine i'm very, very happy, it is great

What are they saying about the controller thats coming out? also what kind of gains did you see from the Ulmer Kit? Just a FYI I ride on about 70% groomed trails and 30% of un-groomed. I live in Michigan and ride in Mancelona and also try to make at least one trip to the UP each year.

i saw about a 3-4 m.p.h. gain, alot quicker on take off, the controller will be coming out soon, it will give it more h.p., don't know how much, ulmer racing will be coming out with the spec's soon
