I have been harping on my dealer asking where the hell my Attak is. The dealers all around him are getting theirs and I'm wondering why mine hasn't showed up. Thinking about it, I have come to 2 conclusions;
#1 My dealer sold the dealership and everything isn't in order with Yamaha yet.
or
#2 The delay is forcing me to reconsider the purchase (an act of god, lol).

Let's put this into perspective for a moment. Gas has just risen to $3.19 a us gallon and the so called experts said it ain't gonna stop there. It's not concern about how much fuel the Attak will burn, rather how much fuel my truck will burn getting me to the trails. Decent riding for me is at least a 3 hour drive one way in a vehicle that gets the same gas milage my piece of $hit machz's use to get.

With 2 kids in college, I'm wondering if I can afford this sport this year or in years to come :ORC

Dan, there aren't many who can afford this sport but a few less pops and a few less nights out saves enough to make it possible. If I had to trailer to ride I would not be in the sport.

Mine just got in the other day. I will pick it up probably next week sometime. The way I look at it is your lucky...If you think your on the fence why get in a hurry? Maybe this is the best thing that could happen. Besides it sounds like yours is going to be newer than mine.....LOL.

I look at life this way. When you are old you will have plenty of time to think about what you SHOULD have done! Life is short, get off the couch and enjoy!!!

I have spent the entire summer recovering from Knee surgery. Things are very tight this year and NOTHING will stop me from riding my new GT this year.

Hey............. I'm OLDER than dirt and poor but, I'm gonna ride that new Apex GT come hell or high water ! I haul it with my Avalanche and go fron 150 to 300 miles (Canada). I may not get another riding season so you damn well better believe my Vacations gonna come before anything else ! ;)!

LB, my truck is paid for ;)! ;)!
So it would actually cost me more to get a more fuel efficient vehicle by the time you add the purchase price to the lower fuel bill :ORC

;)! The past couple of years I've really found out how much I love the sport. I don't think a day all year goes by that I don't think about snowmobiling. I'm 45 and I've been riding since I was ten. I firmly believe that it is part of who I am. I won't put a price on that. I work 60 plus hours a week and when winter gets here my family knows its time for fun. Lifes to short enjoy it!!!!

Yeah...it freakin expensive but I will ride until I die. I don't care how much it costs. I will just have to figure out a way around it and spend smarter. That's why I bought a 2005 and not a 2006.

LB....4 & 6Cyl trucks DO NOT SAVE YOU MONEY when towing...they cost you more! Ask anyone who has ever towed with anything less than a V8.

I HAD A 2003 NISSAN PATHFINDER 4X4....SEV6....Can you Say PIG ON GAS???? :o| Averaged 9MPG pulling a double trailer where my buddy was seeing 13MPG in his Yukon. SOLD THE NISSAN and bought a Toyota Camry. Will pulll the trailer with our Oldsmobile Silhouette Mini-Van and I am considering buying a SINGLE enclosed trailer and pulling it with the Camry 8).

MW once you get your sled you may feel much better. Give your self some time to calm down and think about ways you can save money, not only to put fuel in your truck and sled, but more in the bank or retirement fund.

Here is what I have done. Let me tell you, it makes a difference.

1. Cut way down on eating out at restaurants.
2. Turn off the AC or central air in you house and run a fan.
3. Evaluate EVERY purchace. Do i really need this,is there something cheaper that is just as good.
4. Ask your spouse, significant other to Evaluate her purchases.

These 4 things have helped my monthly bottom line a lot. I had to do this after paying a big out of pocket insurance expense.

Sorry if this comes across as a lecture you could possibly hear from your parents.

Matt
;)!

Yep, I’ve been on sleds since I was a floater banging on the seat so I’m not stopping till I’m blind and no dog to keep up! 8)
Sometimes changing lifestyle can compensate for extra costs in life. For those that smoke, quitting would be the best thing you’ve done both financially and health. For those that like to drink, try giving out less to the bars and drink at home with friends more often. :drink: I’m sure many of us can cut cost somewhere in our lifestyles to offset extra expenses. Many would be surprised on how much money they spend on little things that really add up and not be aware of the total cost in a month.
