Hello members hope you all had a great summer! Would like to actually know from some of you who actually changed over their rear skid fox air shock to a hygear setup? Now what I am asking is do I go with the linkage set up and air bladder or just install the bladder on my original fox shock? Also some have suggested go with their coil over shock which will give me awesome mixed riding. I have already installed a front coil from stingray mods which I was told really helps out.

What model sled are you working on?
I have a 14 RT-X with turbo and I installed Hygear coil overs front and back, full package. Came off the Fox-3 air.
I would never switch back.

Arrr sorry forgot the model! It's a '15 STXDX which has that dreaded fox air shock in the rear. I'm not touching the front ski shocks, just the skid.

I haven't had any experience with the STXDX, but I have had three different 141" skids, and set ups. I have two XTX's, one of which is still stock for my Grandson. I think it rides like a buckboard with the Fox Float 3's, but he rides standing up all the time, and he likes it. On my XTX, I added the Hygear dual pressure chambers to the front Float 3's, and love them. On the rear skid I bought a set of Fox QS3's, and it made a huge difference. I know that last year, Yamaha actually offered their top of the line XTX with the QS3's all around, so I suspect that they agree that was a good set up. Finally, I bought a used 2013 AC turbo with the 141" skid. The previous owner added a Hygear dual pressure chamber on the rear Float shock, and added the linkage kit. We traded it in for a Sidewinder, so we did not keep it long, but it definitely rode much better than a stock 141". Bottom line is that just adding the dual pressure kit will probably do a lot for your ride, and be your cheapest alternative. From my limited experience with the AC, adding both produced a pretty comfortable ride.

Pretty sure MrSled did both and wrote a review here somewhere. I believe he liked it a lot.
