I stretched my Attak to a 144" with a Muffin Works extension, I just purchased a 121" cooler but I've read mixed reviews about it getting nicked from studs which I have, so my question is has anyone figured out how to use a rear cooler on an aftermarket extension or I am safe with the 121" cooler

I toyed with mounting it in the back of the extension and then extending the rubber hoses to reach it. It would look a cheesy though having rubber hoses on the outside of the extension all the way back so I nixed the idea.

I beleive apex06 runs a 121 cooler on a 144" apex and has no issues. Hard to think you wont hit it with it hanging down the 2" or so but I dont think its a cause for concern. What rear suspension will you be using?

did you add anything to the tunnel protectors or do you even have any?

I cut them out, they hold a lot of ice. Lol if I remember I'll take a pic of how I have it tonight

I did a search and seen that you relocated the skid so you should have a little more clearance then I do, it dosn't look like you run studs either, I'd hate to go threw the trouble of adding this cooler and have a stud nick it and be stranded

I also seen what you did with the tunnel protector, pretty neat idea...lol

I think your better going with a 136" cooler and modifying it to fit up high and tight in the extension. Ulmer racing had a good write up on it so did rxrider in the garage section.

I seen the one that Ulmer did, I can't weld aluminium so that's probably the route I'll go but I wanted some ideas before I did anything

heat ex

when i streached my rx1 to 136 i left the 121 in cooler in the same place it was before don,t have any problems with temps now , and yes i am studded on the track.

I bought my Attak late last year and it didn't overheat however my RX1 mountain would when I trail rode it until I added the rear cooler, I'd rather add one for piece of mind and get it done in the summer instead of having to do it during the winter
