I am putting on a mountain rear heat exchanger. Do I need protection, or is it high enough in the tunnel. After looking at my setup, if I have problems with the track hitting the exchanger, that's the least of my problems. I can't see anyway the track will touch, ever.

I was over heating up in Muni area this weekend and had antifreeze spewing out. I took it to the dealer today to have the system pressure tested. IThey have a rear heat exchanger kit for 48 bucks that I plan on installing. Since my ripsaw isn't studded do I need rear heat exchanger protectors????

I posted apicture of the set up I had made for my warrior. THe rear heat exchaner needs a guard.

04 shorty, do i need protectors or not for rear exchanger, price from yamaha $41, thanx guys :rocks:

I got a price for the mountain OEM rear exchanger for $110.00. What are you guys getting for $50.00?

My local stealer ordered it for me . I paid $88 HUdson cycles in Hudson NH. When I ordered mine, they said they were going to order several more to keep in stock.

If you don't run studs, there is no reason to put protectors over the exchanger.

Heres some pics of my Rage cooler(which is the same as a warrior setup)
