Hi everyone this is my first post here
Got my first yamaha late last season and has not used it som much
I've got a lot of polaris sled before ,,,so now i had to try the viper
First impression was the chassi setup must been taken from a ice oval racing machine !!!!
I had never had to bend the bar so much on a sled !!
Read so much as i can here and some other sites i see there were not just me that think it was heavy steering
Tried the 160 spring in center shock ,,,a little better it was
So now i order a -16 front suspension kit ,,,but when i looked at the new -16 there are some different in rear suspension too
One issue i think is the transfer ,,so what happens i ill try a longer vs shorter (rod )
The one under rear shock
Because on the -16 it is shorter and mount on rear svingarm is moved too
The thing i wanted is that the skis will come up faster and easier
Ill hope you can understand my not so good english
/ Thanks

Take your tie rods off and lift front end of sled in the air. move the ski by hand and see if there is lots of resistance? I found my spindles were almost seized at the ball joints and was giving really hard steering feeling. I sprayed them with a bunch of lubricant and as it worked down into the joint it got much easier with lighter steering feel. I just updated mine with the 2016 36" front end and boy is that every easy to steer. All the joints are super loose and no resistance on the bars.
