The rear suspension on my phazer gt was to soft right from new. Thinking of putting rtx springs in the rear skid. Would this be a step in the right direction? and make enough of a difference? thanks

My base model was too soft as well so I installed the Yamaha race springs and it was way too stiff on the small stuff. I then reinstalled the original springs and upgraded to the the FX shocks. I'm now going to send the shocks in for a revalve to make the valving more progressive. From my experience trying to get the ride I want, I would go for a revalve instead of the springs. Plus, I think getting the shocks valved will be cheaper!

Does anyone know, can the shocks in the GT skid be revalved?

im looking to buy the race springs. about how much were they and where did u get them???

Unfortunately, I think the springs are only available if you buy the complete Yamaha racer kit. Check out Yamaha's website. I got lucky and was able to buy them used from someone that was willing to split up the kit!

the center shock can't be rebuilt i think & the rear, i'd just get a new one with a piggyback resevoir.

on the 07's that is.

FYI, I spent $280 dollars for a used Yamaha FX rear clicker shock. If you look on ebay you can get a brand new Ohlins shock with rebound clicker too, and for about $415 shipped from Carver performance. That is the way that I would go if I could do it again. Although, I did get the center shock for about $100 shipped... and I think the Ohlins center is much more expensive. Anyhow, I hope this info helps you.
