Looks like if I drill the 3 rivets out on the tunnel the new gusset should work out okay.will still be a scar there but hell of a lot easier than drilling out 73 rivers.

Gonna have to drill more than that. Its a bear to get the end in the footrail edge. You will see what I mean when you go to put it in. Never hurts to have extra Huck rivets anyway.

From what I can see 3 rivets hold the gusset I'm the tunnel and one rivet to the running board.it would be something like 73 rivets to replace rear tunnel sectionGonna have to drill more than that. I think what Swampcats saying is the gusset is put in the running board edge before the edge is riveted on so to get it on you need to remove the running board edge also? From what I can see 3 rivets hold the gusset I'm the tunnel and one rivet to the running board.it would be something like 73 rivets to replace rear tunnel section

I'm hoping not lol.looks like gusset goes in from back of tunnel first so should be able to wiggle it around to get it into running board.im hopingI think what Swampcats saying is the gusset is put in the running board edge before the edge is riveted on so to get it on you need to remove the running board edge also?

I had those gussets off before when I did a CF tunnel extension swap on my 7000. When I did mine, there was enough flex in the running board that I could wiggle them out once you drill out the rivet(s)

The last thing you want to do is the whole tail end. Just saying it is not as simple as it looks. At least the couple I did . When you go to put the new one on, you will see what I am talking about. That outside footrail edge does not have much wiggle room. From what I can see 3 rivets hold the gusset I'm the tunnel and one rivet to the running board.it would be something like 73 rivets to replace rear tunnel section

This is what happens when an idiot decides to turn around on a trail without looking behind him and I smack into him sideways
You could run a strap from one board to the other over tunnel to avoid bending the boards! Otherwise fix it.Thanks for the info as I'm going to ride it like this for the rest of the season.it should not be a problem would it?

Put the new gusset in and only had to remove the first 3 rivets in the footwell edge.went wellThe last thing you want to do is the whole tail end. Just saying it is not as simple as it looks.
