I need something that will do better in powder than the 136x15x1.25 RipSaw that I have now.
The RipSaw is a great trail track with good traction in hard pack, but it sucks balls in loose snow.
I have a 2003 RX-1 stretched to 136" w/antiratchet drivers so I will need all open windows.

I just installed the new Cross country hybrid type track on my srx last season(144X1.5) from camoplast. Decent on trail, even better offtrail.

Find a 136x1.5 off of a mid to late 90s 500 SKS or RMK It is a great track. I have one on my wifes 600 and I put many on sleds that I have long tracked to 136. Ski-Doo also has a really good track too, I have used that one as well. It came with their long track kits back in 1998 when 136 x 1.5 was considered long and deep.

Well just for comparison, you don't need to go to 1.5" to get WAY better loose snow traction. The 1.25" 9834 might do the trick for you.
This picture is of a 9818, which is the same track, EXCEPT, the 9834 is FULLY CLIPPED, and 136".
If you do want a 1.5", probably favor the 9800, but you'll need to clip it.

anothe suggestion would be the 1.5" ripsaw. i dont know if they have them fully clipped tho'.

Ripsaw is a CRAP track. 9834 will be night and day better than 1.5" ripsaw.

That 9800 looks very nice & aggressive, but punching out and clipping every 3rd bar would be a PITA. How do people normally do that? Is there a punch-out tool for that, or are you stuck with the utility knife?
The 9834 could work as well, but I really want to go to a 1.5" lug to make the swap worthwhile.

I did not see it listed on there site, I can't remember who does it. As I recall there was more then place to have it done, I will look a little more. Anyone else know where this can be done?

A big flat wood chisel and a hammer will cut the holes out nice (if tracksusa won't do it), then if you can borrow a clipping tool.... The sections to cut out are clearly marked on the track.
I think that tracksusa will probably do it though. They offer quite a number of "modified" tracks - this modification is usually punching and clipping. Call them to find out for sure though.

I Have emailed "Bruce" at Tracks USA about getting the windows punched out before I buy, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.
I can easily get a loan of a crimping tool and maybe even steal a bench at the local dealership for a couple of hours to do this, so that's an option. I'd hate to do it that way, but I imagine it would work just as well.

rob i got a bit for my dremil that should make it a quick job to cut the windows. i know of a couple of people that done it that way. and im willing to lend a hand.
