Hi,
Here's the method I use on my snowmobiles and boat.
1) Clean area with rubbing alcohol.
2) Make up a spray bottle of water with a drop of dish soap.
3) Peel off sticker and spray the back side soaking it.
4) Spray area heavily where you want it.
5) Place sticker on, spray a little more on the surface of the sticker and press out air bubbles from the center out either by a small plastic squeegee or rag.
By doing the above method it gives you time to position it perfectly where you want it. I have done this on both smooth and textured surfaces. I have "never" had one come off and not even a corner lifting. I follow this method on every sticker I apply.
