This my seem like a stupid question, but is there a trick to removing the throttle cable from the handlebar assembly? I did the Grizz relocate and couldn't get the cable off. I was able to get the wire out of the flipper but couldn't get the cable housing out. I was afraid to pull hard for fear of breaking something. Is there some kind of release? Thanks for any help!

Look at the install directions for the OFT relocate. You will see how to move the throttle cable to the front.

Actually you move the cable to the rear of the riser. I pulled the cable out of the flipper seat and lightly clamped it (using hemostats with rubber tips) and was able to move the cable without having to pull the the handlebar clamp assy. You still have to pull the flipper pin. Easy peasy.Look at the install directions for the OFT relocate. You will see how to move the throttle cable to the front.

The end of the cable will not just fall out of the "flipper" after you get the handle bar housing taken apart you will have to pull the "hammer-head" portion on the end of the cable out of the recess it sits in. I did the OFT relocate and found it easier to take the cable out of the flipper rather than taking the flipper off.

X2 Squeeze the flipper to expose the cable and then clamp the cable. The end of the cable will not just fall out of the "flipper" after you get the handle bar housing taken apart you will have to pull the "hammer-head" portion on the end of the cable out of the recess it sits in. Maybe I didn't explain it right. I was able to get the wire out of the flipper no problem. It is the housing that I couldn't get out.

Rooster and Canoe head, you were both right. I went on the OFT website and the throttle block has to be removed to get the cable behind the riser. Thanks guys!
