I had the remote oil filter located to the front, near voltage regulator, and the front yamaha storage bag still fits fine.

It all looks and fits great.

I know some had questoned this and now we know

Was the oil filter that hard to get to? Haven't tried yet, but understand with airbox and battery removed, not that difficult?

not a bad job to get to the filter, just have to take everything apart to get to it

Yamadoo, I'm glad it works with the Yamaha storage bag! Thanks for the info!

If anyone is wondering how hard it is to get to the stock oil filter you can view the installation instructions for the Remote Oil Filter Kit on our webiste and see how to get to the oil filter.

Wow!! How can my dealer do all this, change oil and add new filter for $55?

How do they do it

You hope they DO change the filter!

After a few times it probably gets easier, but to get to that filter, and to do a complete oil/filter change, and put the sled back to riding form, I couldn't do it all in an hour.

Guys,
I wimped out and had the dealer do it so I can not estimate time and effort for you. The instructions make it look pretty easy but lots of steps and I hesitate to tackle these things alone and the shop was getting cold and many other lame excuses.
It was not 55 $. Heck he quoted me 150 to 180 for just the oil change.I also bought the the optimate battery charger and had those leads and the leads from my heated sheild attatched to the battery.

I will try to get some pics, it looks just like the picks on the Ulmer site and the bag fits fine.

it really isn't that hard to take apart, just take your time and mark everything or take a few photo's, i would never pay someone $150 to $180 to change the oil, don't forget you only have to do it once a year, early oct/nov and your done until next season
