Help,
I can't get the cover off my chain case. I got the bottom to open a bit, but the top seems like it's still got a bolt holding it.
I downloaded, and printed all the instructions I could find. They say "now slide the cover off evenly". There has to be a trick to it.
I'm changing tracks.

disconnect all your linkage... once it has come out alittle take a light and look down, reverse fork has to be lifted off bottom gear... when its sticky sometimes its the bearing in the cover that is not sliding off shaft, i've even had to take some emery cloth and rub down any high spots on shaft.. especially where the keyway fits for the rotor.. takes alittle palying with... just becareful not hammer away at it.. and if so.. use rubber mallet. it will come just needs some elbow grease.
And of course... make sure all bolts are out.. hehe..

I hate to admit that my mechanic wife came out and found a bolt, I missed.
