How do you guys remove the plastic Yamaha pop rivets? Any time I work on this sled, I have to take a few of the little bastards off. I have been using a plastic auto upholstery removal tool I bought from Harborfreight and I still manage to trash a few.

Gotta pry on both sides equally.

Very simple use a smaller flat head and pry the center up first then it should pop right out.

Flat head screw driver, work one side then The other, they'll pop up (centre portion) and then hole push pin will pull out. They are a pita!

I use one small and one medium flat head screwdriver, and just work it up as evenly as possible, then they can pop right out. It does help to have them warm, so the plastic is more pliable.

I use a #2 flat head screwdriver (only 1) and just twist the screwdriver and they pop right out.

Just be patient with them and have a few spares handy we deal with these kind of clips in the autobody trade all the time.

a friend of mine took a cheap pair of pliers and used a cut off wheel and notched the tips so they hooked on each side and ground the sides round so they fit in the gaps to the sides of the clips, they work awesome and took him all of ten minutes to make. think he did a pair of 45 degree angled needle nose ones too for the hard to reach places. got the tools from harbor freight.

When ever you trash one just replace it with Honda's version. My dealer put me on to them as they are a Honda dealer as well. The Honda rivets are way better!
