I'm changing the track on my Apex mtn and was replacing the chaincase bearings and notice the seconday clutch bearing is almost done. After removing the snap ring, do you pound the shaft out (and bearing should come with) from the gear side toward the clutch side? I don't want screw it up, going the wrong way. It looks like the bearing is mounted on a 'compression style bushing', for a lack of a better term. Anyway, I need some help on removing and reinstalling the bearing (I think they call it a nut bearing in the microfiche online.
Thanks for the feedback.

looking at the explanation, it sound like the tool is to hold the compression hub that the bearing goes on. How do you tighten the lock nut. I took it off by tapping it with a chisel and hammer until I could move it in my hand. When putting the locknut back on, it hard to tell if it's tight enough that the bearing is going to stay put or am I doing something bass ackwards.
Thanks,
Greg
