Repairing plastic?

Was lucky 2 nights ago - small animal impacted clutch side panel breaking off the pin on the black side panel and breaking off the pin on the inside of the gas tank tin. Pretty freaky at 50mph at night. Left hairs embedded in saddlebags. Lucky it wasn't something bigger - saw many deer over entire weeks trip.

Has anyone successfully repaired either piece? How?

An automotive bodyshop will have supplies to repair the plasic.
