2009 Nytro Rtx Se on last ride of season the exhaust started sounding really ratty and loose like bolts rattling around and seems to smooth out as reved higher, I figure it is the bad exhaust donuts like many speak about on here.
I did a few searches and wondering if anyone has posted a step by stem procedure to replacing these on a Nytro?
Also any better donuts to be using since last year?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

There was a guy on kijiji selling custom made donuts. They were brass/titanium colour. $100 plus for 4. He said they will never where out.
Royal sells them for $9.99

I saw a step by step here somewhere. I just did mine last week, no pics of the process but it is pretty simple. I had all of the front plastics off because I was doing an oil change/chain case oil change... anyway remove the rear plastic around the seat, remove seat, remove plastic around gas tank, remove gas tank(2 connections to be let go)
Once the tank is out, remove a heat shield under tank to expose the Y-pipe. then remove muffler, should gain enough room to replace the gaskets(Mine weren't bad but the clamps were so loose that I could turn them around by hand, I had to actually because two of them were upside down) I did replace mine since I had it all apart.
If your clamps are loose( and I bet they are) you can take them out and grind a little bit off the bushing and they will seat better, hopefully they won't come loose anymore!

Where are you getting the bronze colored donuts?? Do those or the bender ones last better than the Yamaha stock ones?

How often should these be changed my Nytro has 1800 miles on it and if they go out does the exhaust noise get louder? And does warranty cover these if they go out during that period.

precision turned copper.
specifically designed to withstand heat and exhaust pressure for mid / rear mounted turbo.
fine solution for those who are tired of changing these mid-season.
can of course be used on standard engine also.
would have been much cheaper to made those out of brass,
but then you lose the ability to remain soft under heavy heat/presure
.use copper to get the best possible sealing under heat pressure and have the best possible life.
Copper is soft when it gets hot and will close better than brass or aluminum.
the problem with the stock
gaskets that are leaking very fast once you get a leak, and they're even worse with the turbo.

Also dont forget to remove the 2 bolts under the rubber groomets (We see them behind the turbo in the fourth picture), theses hold the header in place and if you dont remove them you will not be able to move the headers far enough to be able to remove the flexibles.
I was wondering what was holding the headers in place the first time i did that, so thats why i want to explain.
