So I am servicing my primary with all of the failures I have read about a little locktight and checking the bolts for a long trip. Primary spring is stock and has some miles and years on it. I ordered a Dalton black blue bit it is considerably shorter. The wire diameter is larger but I want to make sure this is right before putting it in.

Stock spring is a long one. I just put a Yamaha Blue Brown Blue primary on and it was much shorter also.
Stock one is at bottom of this page, look at the length compared to all other yams springs.

That's a pretty common SW spring to upgrade over the stock spring.

Don't worry about the length of the spring.

Haven't you ever heard the expression...."It ain't very big around but it sure is short".

Yeah stock spring has been thought to be too long and could coil bind and several broke.....

I would highly recommend adding 2 glide washers in that primary.

The black/blue spring is a good one Used by many on here

I like the Dalton RED, abit less rpms on top.
I tried the black/red and liked it allot when I was running lighter weights (76.8g)HH. Once I bumped the weight up over 79g it just didn't seem like enough spring in there. I had the cat white in the secondary at the time and I couldn't believe how much more backshift I got with a much higher rate spring up front.

Where can I get glide washers? Next thing on the list I wanted to turn the bolts around for the rollers and weights. Stock they are wrong according to another post by Thunder Products plus put some locktite on them. When loosening the roller bolts in the primary they all 3 seem to be bent a little. I will be checking them on a straight edge but now I am wondering of I should just replace the bolts and nuts to be safe

Thunder products has glide washers. I can't seem to find a source for better pivot pins and I noticed one of mine was bent too. I totally forgot to measure them so I could hunt for a suitable replacement and the sled is hrs away. If you could measure one of them and post that would be great.
