First lets start with the mods: covered hole in tunnel with aluminum, windshieldbag and tool pouch for front end, 96 studs and tunnel protectors, changed the warped idler wheels with some stronger ones and had to machine 1.5 mm off each spacer to make them fit, and finally the Hauck kit.
The kit comes with dual exhaust, y-pipe, helix for the clutch, 6 air box pods 1" dia., and fuel accelerator. Easy set up, the instructions were great. Had to call pat hauck about the fuel accelerator set up, very helpful.
The sound of that exhaust is awsome. It has a mean rumble when you hit the throttle and when you let off it has a nice low tone as you slow down.
For the hp increase, I feel a big difference in low and mid range. Deffinatly has more torque. Going from 0-70 is instantanious. I'm not sure about top end speed yet. I did 92 mph on the speedo on ice stock, but right now all I've rode on is powder and some hard pack with the kit. I have seen 84 mph on hard pack with some throttle left with this kit. I absolutly love it. It is exspesive, but if you want to play you have to pay. 900 miles on the fx and 150 with the kit.
I added some video clips for you all to enjoy.

Sounds just my YFZ 450 with the Yoshi pipe did. Nice.
Why did you go with dual pipes and why did you make them turn out at the tailpipe? Wouldnt a single pipe have been lighter?

I went with the dual pipe cause I like the look. it saves 7 lbs. and the tail piece is all they offer. It's made to the side cause of the tool box that I took off anyways. It is actually cool looking with the exhaust shooting out the side at top speed. I'm very happy with the whole kit and no more car muffler.

Hmmmm, interesting. It makes sense now that you explained it that way. I think it looks cool too. Nice job. I love the look of dual pipes, I always thought that the Honda CRF250R dirtbikes with the dual exhaust looked cool.
Im actually kinda surprised that more companies havent jumped on making 4-stroke exhaust. I figured that White Bros and Yoshimura would have started making exhaust for 4-stroke sleds by now.

From what I understand they also have a single pipe. Although you will not see the gains that you will see with the dual pipes. I am very interested in ordering the kits myself! Looks and sounds great!

hauck did a lot of testing with the dual pipes and found out if he took to much baffle out of the exhaust he actaully lost hp. this is with the air box mods he did. if you want to see the hp gain you need to do the full system. that is the pipes, fuel accelarator, air box mods and clutching. i will be doing some gear changing in my moutain lite to see if i can hit 95mph, have her at 85 on stock gearing in the 1/4 mile. i do have the full system from pat.it does sound awesome.
