Ok I'm sure this has been asked before but how do I stop my 08 ApexGT from beeping when I'm in reverse?
Thanks

It's been covered many times. Switch is right next to the rev. mechanism, just unplug it, or pull the fuse labeled SIG. What works best is to just cover the beeper with some tape, that way you get a bit of sound to remind you that you left it in reverse. With out the beeper you will remember that you left it in reverse just as your flying over the bars with your feet in the air. You say you won't do that, so did I. Also, tell everyone you ride with not to park behind you, that way when you back in to their sled you can say, "I told you not to park behind me".
Think about it, how much riding do you actually do in reverse.

Yup, keep it activated, just cover it up with tape or something. Nice to know you "are" in reverse.

Unlike a car, a sled doesn't have a "D" and "R" light on the dashboard, and unlike an ATV, it won't kill your ignition if you hit it too hard in reverse.
I disconnected mine, but used the power wire from the beeper and mounted a bright red led in the dash for a warning light

Yep, that's the ticket.
I like guardrail's idea. Thanks you all who replied.
I have had reverse on my sleds since 95 and none have beeped. I do think a light is a good idea though.
