Why would you want to?
Bad idea. Leave the reverse beeper hooked up .
Full throttle launch in reverse is not a good idea.
You would not like it.

LMAO 2 for 2 against! too funny. If all the switch does is activate the beeper why not disconnect one of the wires makes sense to me but i'm no mechanic.

A good compromise is to put a piece of tape over the beeper to muffle the sound.
The speaker is located just above the left footwell.

Don't do it. A friend of mine was backing up to his shed, shut the machine off to open the doors. The sled was too close so he had to move forward. What does he do??? He hammers the throttle and blasted in reverse through the doors into the shed did all kinds of damage. Luckily I was standing beside the sled and not behind, otherwise I would have been run over.
He learned there is a reason for the beeper that day.

It's over the right footwell.

Swisssleder,
I'm heading to Switzerland at the end of the month. I'll be in the southern part of the country. Would there be any snow left? If so any rental shops in that area? As for the reverse tone I'd leave it on. just my two cents.

I saw a guy line up for a race with the buzzer disconnected. He backed up and was waiting. The other guy pulled up to far so my budd was standing up and went to pull forward. When the sled went back he fell forward and his right leg pinned the throttle. Threw him over the fornt of the sled REAL fast. Possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen on a sled in person in my life.

@Jigger
Snowmobiles to rents is very difficult. In Switzerland it not permitted to drive a snowmobile. Only with a special permition.

I done this with beeper on once, not something I proud of, But it gives My friends something to laugh about. Not good as when you hit a tree going backwards all you weight lands on the trottle

For your safety and everyone around the sled just put up with the beep and leave it alone.
