How were you guys hooking up on the ice?

My RTX would not hook up well on the ice at all even with 144 down thw centre.

How did you measure the distance? Odometer?

I would like to get a baseline for my sled in the same didtance.

I am pretty sure they used the Odometer at a very slow speed to mark off the distance...I may be wrong but pretty sure this is correct.

144 down the middle dont hook at all....even Terrys 136 Attak had a hard time and his is studded in the 144 normal pattern...but he or I did not change the weight transfer do that may affect what I saw.
 
I tried to adjust the transfer for the ice. The thing would spin like crazy and then lift the skis 2 feet in the air at 80 MPH!.

I think the rear is too high. I am going to pump up my floats to get the front end higher....then naybe the rear will squat.
 
Rib lake boys how are the speeds this weekend,still running some lowered apes at 122mph on the gun!! ;)!
 
Tom,,, Did anyone notice how much difference ther was, from the stock speedo compared to the radar mph...thanks. Gary.
