If an RX1 that weighs appox. 40# more and giving up appox. 25-30 HP, is getting beat by only 5-6 sled length's, it's not saying much for the fastest "production sled ever made" IMHO. If I paid $10,500 for a sled it had really better be able to rock. Let's see, hmmmmm, I paid $8500.00 for an 05 RX1-ER. That would leave me about $2000.00 worth of mod's I could get done. I bet I could get alot faster with that kind of money in a hurry. I'm not bashing Doo's, I've owed a few myself, but what I've read and heard about the Mach I thought it would do much better, that's all .

24x who`s clutch kit u got whats ur top end
I've been making some prototype stuff for the tra5 clutch on the Mach Z.Out of the box the mach is lazy for 500 ft at least. When properly clutched...they ARE fast for a stock sled,no 2 ways about it. Hopefully not faster than my normally asperated RX-1(stock.....if it has no turbo or nos...it IS stock isn't it?) when I get it finished, lol.

Davey boy Woodys performance did the clutch in Topsham. They built an overdrive clutch it is new on my sled this year I will have to wait and see actual speed. I was getting 128 on the speedo last year across Rangeley lake but the conditions where perfect ice with a small coating of snow.

My first ride out this year I was purposely running extremely rich because I had new pistons. I played with the 1000 Summit. Low boost was enough. 8)

spray25: How do you like the new Pistons???
The jury is still out. I need more miles to give a good opinion.
I am still running a little rich, but before the next ride I will lean it back out to where it should be. The pisotns don't seem to effect boost, but there is a performance diferrence. If I am rolling down the trail (on low) and carrying say 2-3 lbs of boost then grab the rest of the throttle it instantly goes to 5 lbs (where it is set on low) but the sled accelerates like there is lag. Again this could be caused by being rich, but right now I'm not sure of the exact cause. On high (10 lbs) It don't seem to feel the same thing, although, I have riden very little on high, because of babying the pistons for a while.
I do like not having to buy race fuel though!!
