My Ridelite wire snapped off at the point of exit from the rubber plug in the light. Cold temps or bad insulation led to the insulation cracking exposing the wiring at both connection points. Be warned and check yours close.
If still good I would get some Anchor shrink tubing and protect the wiring exiting the light. I don't think it can open so you can get at the inside. It seems like a sealed unit.
I emailed them and will wait and see what they do or tell me.
