Is it possible to ride with a passenger on the nytro skinz airframe seat?

Or do I have to switch seats for those times the miss may want to join?

Will it hurt the seat in any way? Anyone got any real life experience with it?

Thanks

I also hopes somebody have tried this.
Look's like it's possible to ride two up, but no comfort. Then again the stock seat is not that great for the wife eigther.

Yeah, hope it works. I find that riding two on the stock seat works pretty good.
The skinz seat is a bit shorter, and yes - no comfort.

Its not that big of a deal. Its only gonna be a couple short rides. Nothing more.
If its possible to ride two people on the skinz, then Im happy.

Anyone?

I have the Skinz seat. Never tried to ride with a passenger (what the hell, I never even sit down myself...). I can't see it being possible as the seat is a lot shorter, narrower and stiffer than the stock seat. Only possibility would be if the rider is standing up as close as possible to the handlebars, then you can maybe squeeze a passenger in on the seat. However, this does not feel safe and she is going to hate you afterwards...

Its gonna be her first time on a snowmobile, ever... Thats why I was thinking about riding two up the first time.

I better have the XTX ready for her then...

Then don't start her snowmobile career by scaring her off...or do exactly that, depending on the outcome you want...!

Seriously, two-up riding with the Skinz seat sounds like a very bad idea. There is going to be zero comfort, the rider is going to be squeezed against the handlebars and since the seat is short, the passenger is still going to feel like she is about to fall off all the time. Sounds way too risky. Instead, keep it safe with a standard seat. The time it takes to swap them over is less than fifteen minutes.

The best and safest idea is still to get the two-up additional seat that fits over the back of the standard seat. You can find them at all Yamaha dealers in Sweden.

My wife rides on the back of mine all the time and she has not had an issue; granted, neither her nor I are large people, and I sit on the very front of the seat when she is along.

Post pics after install. I installing the MCX 180 kit and would like to see how it looks with the turbo under the seat.
