I have a 08 nyytro rtx with 09 front end and will be going on a trip in a couple weeks and the GF wants to ride with me. Any reccomendations to suspension settings that would help with the extra weight?

Also i just installed a intense track and getting lots of inside ski lift in the corners, is this due to the added traction? If so how to I address this issue?

Thanks!!

Just an opinion....but that would be MISERABLE.

Rent the GF a sled. Neither of you will have much fun two up.

Maybe stiffen up the compression a click or two, and put your torsion springs on a stiffer setting. Really depends how heavy she is. My gf rode with me this past weekend and I didn't change a thing but she is only a little over a hundred pounds too. The thing that sucks is the big holes you can't skip over and tight trails since they are usually leaning the opposite direction.

For ski lift riding solo, try sucking your front strap down a hole and loosen your skid springuntil there is very little threads left showing.

Been there, done that. It's ok, but not that much fun. Tell your gf that she can ride you during the day, but better be riding on you after the ride is over. That helps to offset the reduction in fun when riding 2-up. ;)!

I'd be miserable. Nytro is not designed for a second rider.

I'd look to rent one for here. You both will have a better time.

She definately does not lack in riding at night ;)! Shes about 140lb and im 200lb, but hopefully I can teach her how to lean into the turns. Are you refering to stiffing the rear compression on the rear or front?

If you really want to ride 2-up rent a Venture. You will be much more comfortable.

Wrode with my "better half" with the stock seat and it was a little scary. I was affraid she was going to fly off the back cause there's no hump on the seat.

I've recently bought a Nytro Seat Jack(very slick and easy to take on a off) and she is much more secure and comfortable. She's about 115lbs and I'm 190lbs and we bottom out on any bigger bump even with the rear springs on hard and the compression turned up. Good for cruising and relaxing but if you want to keep up with the boys you'll bottom constantly.

Might look into a little siffer skid springs in the rear for next year.

There are only a few things I wouldnt do for wifey. Two of us on my Nytro (or any sled) is one of them. As far as your inside ski lift goes, that will be worse with two of you on it. Let us know how your trip goes.

Update from my above post.... I went out for a good 60 mile ride with the wife yesterday and realized that the first time we went out I didn't have the compression cranked as firm as I thought. I rode yesterday with the rear shock at 9 and 10 clicks in yesterday and the suspension was nice and stiff. No need for different springs! Woohoo

I thought I would update everyone on my trip. The sled suprisingly worked really well with a passengar. I had no porblem kepping up with the guys, with the extra weight/ traction I was passing beating some of my buddies in the twisties. For anyone leary about riding 2-up on a nytro it is easily possible and you really don't notice the passengar on the sled. I was greatly impressed! The only down side was the bottoming out, but I did not adjust anything on my rear suspension.

For those of you that dont have money like myself and don't want to buy a 2 up seat. I recommned Powermadd's rider hold tight
http://www.powermadd.com/products/riderholdtight.html , this thing is amazing it is so much easy for the passengar to hold on, my gf said it was very comfortable and we rode 120miles that day. Even though it look very ugly strapped around your waist it makes it worth it when a passenger wants to ride with.
