Anyone have a solution for a replacement of the side cover screws on the right side? I have lost another one and there about $8 each from Yamaha. The plastic washer falls off and if the screw loosens it's lost.

Quick question, how are these screws measured? You thought 10mm, is that the screw diameter size or length? Are all Dzus screws all the same diameter?Have you checked https://www.kurveygirl.com/shop/ its the Dzus allenhead screws right? Or the lower panel 10mm?
10mm is the socket size I was referring to. If you look on that site they have a chart with sizing. Just measure one of the ones you have left.

I lost all of them at least twice. I replaced them with a set from Royal Dist. the first time but the fit wasn't perfect and they were difficult to thread.
I since have gone to tin screws. Remove the rubber washer and re-install it on the screw from the inside. The pitch is perfect for the original Yamaha inserts. And the large flat head acts as a washer from the outside.
Now just keep a 1/4 socket in your tool kit.

I'll give that a shot. I like it because it's cheap!

They use wood screws on the Viper?
Uhm yes for bodywork. Havent been a issue other than digging into the plastic and sharp ends that like to draw Blood.
