Ripsaw 1.25 vs predator 1 "

Anybody else have a opinion on that 1" predator track or ill buy another ripsaw?

I would say yes to this.

Ok i am not really concern of the traction on hard pack with the predator because traction on hard pack rely mostly on stud.

Can wee state that a 1" predator is equally or better than a ripsaw on loose snow condition?......Or trail with soft snow on it?

Sorry guys but IMO the 1" Predator is NOT better than a RipSaw on the trail in any condition. We do alot of miles (anywhere between 3-5000) a year so I've had alot of time on mine in alot of different conditions. The 1.25" Predator is the way to go or stick with the RipSaw.

The Predator can throw alot of snow so you will only see a big difference in deep snow where the RipSaw fails.

Simmer did you try or know somebody who ride with the Hacksaw?

....And the cobra for deeper snow.

I don't see your point that the Hacksaw are good only for small HP sled??? wee are talking 1/4 inch here like a short ripsaw.

My buddy had a 1x15" Hacksaw with 151 studs on his 07 F1000 with a y-pipe and bullseye. 180hp.... I could beat anywhere from the start to a roll @40mph on by 4-5 sled lengths with my ripsaw and 144 studs. Raced about 10 times in one day and the outcome was the same everytime. Hardpacked or loose condition on a Groomed trail. His sled would do 119mph on a road and 113 on the Groomed trail on radar. He swapped in a Cobra track and went to 171 studs. After another day of numerous races he would beat me out of the hole or at a role by 2 sled lengths and then I would role beside him and pass him by 1 lenght up top... This is all on Groomed trail conditions. On a road he could still do 119mph on radar/GPS. The hacksaw is a top end track and that's all it's good for or drag racing on very very hard ground with lots of stud penetration... This was my experience and my buddy shares the same thoughts.

About the small hp sled... There is a reason why Yamaha only put it on the Phazer...

I have the 144 Cobra on my xtx as I've said before, and I have beaten another one with the stock ripsaw, so there's no speed loss that I can justify with it. My sled hooked up wwwaaayyyy better than his. Both sleds were new with about 50 miles on them, both of us weigh within 10 pounds of eachother, and the snow conditions were a hardpacked trail with about 3'' of fresh snow on top. I seriously think my Cobra track on my xtx is so much better than my 121 Ripsaw on my Apex with 144 studs, and I have no intentions of studding the Cobra. I'll probably never run studs on any sleds again after switching to this track.
The Hacksaw isn't worth grinding up for playground mulch if you ask me. My brother in law has one on his Doo 600, ahd hates it. He's going back to the stock track.

His sled would only ever do 119mph and that is with the hacksaw... He has done 118 and flashed 119 since then. He might of been able to go faster now if he still had that track on it, since he has tuned it alot more since that run with the hacksaw, but he gets there way faster.... Hacksaw works great on hard, hard ground or ice with alot of penetration. On a groomed trail that track makes your hp get wasted out the back.

If 1" is truly the way you want to go, then get the predator, it's a better track with almost the same top end performance, but better on the bottom and mid.

Going to the cobra is better than the ripsaw with the same top end.. Your choice..

It seem to me that the ripsaw is the best all aroud track,it is just too soft lug that is why most people complain.1" track have too much compromise,cobra track is a bit tall lug.

Ask for this track from people who use it and got great comment.Hook better than the ripsaw,the guy got 10 000 km on this track with 4000 km with a 200 HP turbo and the track still look like new.

SHOTGUN X 2.52 pitch 1.25" lug clipped every second row (48) and weight 35 LBS. 96 hole pre punched , 144 not punched.
