Thinking about getting the Rock Tamers and was just wondering if anyone around here uses them? Do they block a lot of slush and salt from spraying on your trailer? I only have an open 2 place trailer with a salt shield so the more crap I can block the better.

I made my own homemade version using aluminum angle iron, some rubber mud flaps, and a stainless steel U bolt.

They do help keep the slush off the trailer. But I find most of the slush comes from other cars passing because the trailer is wider than my vehicle.

They stop quite a bit but not all the slush on my F150. The shape of the bumper doesn’t quite allow me to adjust them right against the bumper though, I have about a 2” gap. The definitely keep rocks from hitting my pontoon/camper down dirt roads!

I have the rock tamers. They work really well on my duramax. The problem I have is pulling my boat with my Yukon, the electrical plug doesn't fit around the rock tamer hub. I haven't spent enough time with that vehicle to find a way around it. But I would say they do there job.
