for around 18 miles. the guy was an idiot. He buys this nice sled with a 159" track and he didnt hit ONE sidehill nor did he stand up ONCE, even in the deep stuff. we had 15 miles of trail before the powder. every 5 miles he would stop and open his hood. We asked him why and he said he melted 2 airboxes already so he was stopping to let his engine cool down. 2 airboxes and he had 280 miles on the sled.... When we did get to the powder, he would go wide open the whole way and i would pass by him with EASE. He said his sled topped out at 73mph and polaris doesnt warranty track separation if you go over 70mph. i told him i can do 90mph easily with the sled still pulling hard.
Then we lost him. he went somewhere else alone. he was going full throttle down the trails so my friend with his 800RMK and i turned around.
Review of the 05 Mountain skis - awesome. Simply awesome. i can slam the brakes downhill in the powder and they still dont sink. The skis float awesome and turn great as well. I went places today that i wouldnt have gone before simply because of the skis. i knew i wasnt going to sink at all
Anyway, here is a pic from today right before we got to the powder. 900 Hood open, letting the motor cool a little bit. Both polaris guys in awe of my sled
