Roll call for Jan 12-14 fun ride

We left there this morning. Trails were good when we left. There won’t be any riding in the lower from what we saw. Was 50 degrees when we crossed the bridge at 11 am. Hopefully you get a foot of new snow, some areas will need it.
Good to meet some of you guys this week.

Snow is coming down in buckets. IDK. I'll have to try and figure out things as boarders was booked. Their parking lot is jammed right now.

I'm close to the buckhorn resort.

We are hear and it is snowing here going to be fun

Where is everyone? Snowing and blowing here at the Boarders. Going to start the sleds

Just returned home from the UP today. Like Farm Dog we crossed the bridge around 11:00 as well. Here's my take for you guys, STAY NORTH unless they get a foot of snow south of M-28. Munising, Grand Marais, Seney, and Newberry trails were outstanding, Paradise trails were good as well but, there's an 8 mile section on trail 8 close to Paradise that's plowed for logging, it was passable before the warm up so just a heads up. This warm up was needed as the snow was still very fluffy, on Wednesday they were set up very hard as moisture finally got into the snow. The base is pretty deep on most trails so this rain and warm temps wont hurt the base. New snow tonight, they will be out grooming everything up for you guys you will be golden. Just remember this though, with lower shot there will be tons of traffic. There was a steady stream of trailers all day form the time we left Seney this morning @ 9 am and that's just today. Have fun and be safe!

I think we traveled down 75 with you today, had to be you. We crossed the bridge about the same time. We had 2 trucks, one with a 4 place the other with a 2 place (both Triton trailers). Around Saginaw we picked another truck and trailer and traveled to the state line, just had to be you.

The DNR in Munising just requested everyone stay off the trails tonight. They have the groomers running full time to set the trails for the freeze tomorrow. I'll see everybody on sat. Look for the sled in my avatar with a 2up sleeper seat!
