I've had 2 sets of chrome turn outs on my Attak that kept rusting. Guess I just couldn't find the good ones. Finally painted them with some silver ceramic paint which seems to be holding up.

Getting ready for winter! Installed a 1 gallon R]otopax gas tank and Yamaha exhaust extensions on my 2016 XTX.

I''ll figure out a way with custom turnouts and insulating the tank to keep the heat off it but how did you mount the bracket with the heat exchanger directly underneath it? Did you remove it? Is there room to drill? Do you have any pictures on just the bracket mount? Thanks

I was able to drill two holes right in front of the exchanger for the mount. I wasn't able to drill the other two holes due to the heat exchanger. Two bolts still seem very solid.

I also want to do this but I'm kinda waiting to see the best solution. I have the factory hitch on my xtx that I could possibly mount the fuel cell to. Does anyone have a part number or link to good quality turnouts besides the yammie ones which aren't enough? I wonder if a narrower but taller can would be better, like a 1.5 gal cube style chainsaw gas can?

I have a 2016 Apex XTX and I was looking yesterday underneath and I have the rear heat exchanger there so how did you mount that ROTOPAX with a heat exchanger. I am in Carleton Place Ontario and can be reached at lalondeer@gmail.com any help would be appreciated. RoyHere is my setup. I was worried about heat as well so i got my rotopax tank sprayed with linex, which happened to match the color of my sled! no exhaust turnouts. Ran this setup all last year and had no issues with the coating breaking down or heat issues. The tank did come in handy though when my buddy with an Arctic Scrap ran out of fuel!!

I likely have a different style heat exchange that yours, mine is custom made. But you could remove it and use carriage bolts so they stay relatively flat to the bottom of the tunnel, then re mount your heat exchanger. I'll attach photos of my setup.

My sled was originally a 121", so I had to relocated the heat exchanger or my track would hit it. I would to use carriage bolts if you can
