Hey,
I am looking to mount a gallon rotopax to my sled but and trying to figure out where. I was thinking either the side of the tunnel or behind the exhaust. but I just got a belt box so im thinking the rear might be a no go. Anyone have extra fuel on their sled? and what do you use, where, and photos
The reason I want to go with rotopax is I have one for my bike and might as well just get another mount and slap it on. I think I will be putting a axe mate on the sled this year to. Any ideas for that? I was thinking the axe I could mount under the seat since there is a lot of empty space

For the axe I would recommend using Quick Fist clamps (http://www.endroad.com/index.php/quick- ... 1-3-8.html). I have a pair of Minis mounted to my rear bumper. Cost was only $10.50 for the pair including shipping to Canada. I'm going to order another set for the other side for a shovel.

Axe under seat to the side works great ... we drill the blade pouch and put a piece of elastic bungie cord on as well which holds it really snug ..... at end of the season you will have to soak the handle again as it tends to dry out over the winter when close to the exhaust.

My solution will likely not apply to you but I installed an exhaust turnout and then mounted a 2 gallon on the back. However my tunnel is somewhat extended to allow for the 136 track.

I tend to be all over the sled when riding as the Phazer really seems to appreciate some body english in the turns, which made finding a place that is out-of-the-way of paramount importance to me.

Just asked the Mrs to get me 4 Quick Clamps for Xmas. 2 for a axe and 2 because they seem like a really useful product. I am sure I can find a use on the sled, bike, boat, or jeep!!
Thanks Cubby
