buying a new sled . i already have 07 apex er but want something to handle bumps better. question is what is the dif between 07 08 09 apex rtx? i see 07 s leftovers at great deals. is it worth saving some cash over the 09s . what were the 07 problems .

Can't say that I know of any specific problems to the models you are looking for, but there's tons of things you can do to make yours handle the rough stuff better if you are otherwise happy with your sled.
Adding Float x's would be awesome, as well as having Pioneer or other shock company revalve your rear shock(s) for harder use.

I have 2 - 07 Apex RTXs, my son and I love the sled. Had to revalve the rear shock as I am 275 in B-day suit. Lots of discussion on this site, do a search. Some guys hate the suspension on 07 and newer, 06 was a monoshock w/ coil spring like the Er, Gt and Attak, the 07 has torsion springs. Revalve is a must otherwise they are stiff in the studders and bottom to easy in the rough. I have owned an 06 ER, 06 GT and found them too soft even w/ a revalve although they were a lot better than stock.

Corner to corner this is the quickest Apex, it has the 22T top gear compared to the 24T for the ER/ GT and 23T for the Attak

Curious what kind of deals are out there for new leftovers? I'm selling one with 1900 mi.
