What is the sweet spot RPM'S on a all stock RTX SE ?

Good question, I'm seeing over 9000 now and I think it's too high. Seems to me I remember seeing 8700 is the sweet spot.

I would say 8750-9000. After 9000 the power band drops like crazy.

8800-9000 puts out the fastest et times and makes for a great trail sled. Get the rpm to 8800 as quick as you can and hold it steady in that range with a nice gradual pull to 8900-9000. You don't want to lug the rpm and make it work to get there. Faster they get to peak hp the better they will run

Well I will play with it tomorrow !

what is the best way to drop 200 rpm on clutching. My ltx se is totally stock with 2800 miles. when it is cold out 10F or below I am always above 9000 flat out. When I cross a road and pin it I tag the rev limiter every time. Tach is at 9160 or so when this happens and I can feel the power loss by exceeding the sweet spot for sure.

You can get a clutch kit or just a set of adjustable weights to get your rpm where u want them

You can also change the secondary setting with the spring holes-I would go 10 degrees which would give you 100 rpms lower. There are numbers on the helix and clutch-just add the two together and that is the degrees it is wound (as i recall it has 0 3 6 an 9 on the helix and 1, 2 and 3 on clutch) I don't have the stock setting but if it is 6 and 3 it would be 90 degrees. 6 and 2 would get you to 80 degrees and lower by 100 rpm.

You can also get a heavier tip rivet too- as i recall it is about 1 gram heavier gets you 100 rpms lower os if you add 2 grams that would work too.

How high up in the primary should the belt raise, I marked it and noticed belt wore the mark off 3/4" from the top. I have a speedwerx clutch kit with adjustable dalton weights , I lost some top end but has awesome midrange. I'm trying to figure out a way to get some off my top end back. The helix setting they told me to run was 3&1 spring tension was super tight. The only setting I haven't tried is 0&1. Should my set screw weights be threaded in to the toe or out near the heel.

Looks like the viper likes to rev. Would like to see what the sled can do with the rev limiter raised a bit. Looks like there may be a little more left in them if torque and hp are both peaking at the rev limiter

Really surprised the difference between the 7000 and the Viper
