RS Rage with Apex seat Mod and more.....

Looks great G.B.! And familiar. My windshield bag as actually slightly taller than the Nytro w/s! I wish these shields were easier to swap back and forth.

Looks good ;)!

Im going to extend the wires as well to put the connectors under the hood. It will give it a cleaner look and show off my riser from superman

Let me know how it goes. Your Superman riser needs to be shown off. Thanks, G.B.

Thanks twomore. I know what you mean about swaping windshields. I wish Yamaha would design them for easier removal. I am cutting down another windshield for use in colder weather. It is a tall windshield that I am going to cut down 2 3/4" on the top and the sides will be trimed to match the Nytro on my sled in the pics. Last season I used the Nytro windy in December and March, and a trimed down tall windshield in January and February. Thanks, G.B.

Good idea. The stocker I usually use is a good design and sometimes I actually get too warm when on the trails. Doubt I'd ever get too warm with this little Nytro fin though...

My sled is finally done and ready to go. I just installed a Pioneer 13mm sway bar and added my trimmed windshield which should give me a little more protection than the Nytro shorty I had been using. I do not like the way the RS windshields look with hand guards. So I trimmed the side flares on my stock windshield to match the Nytro windy and trimmed the top to clear the hand guards. I am looking forward to my first ride of the season which will be at the TY Muni ride next weekend. I dont know how my sled is going to ride and handle since I have made so many changes this summer...

Apex Mountain seat
Apex Bars
6" riser
Yamaha Mountain skis, shimmed, w/ 7.5" Shaper Bars
13 MM Pioneer sway bar

Reading a bunch of posts on suspension set up, I backed my front springs off to the min setting per the manual and backed off one hole on my limiter strap back to were it was out of the box. I also set my weight transfer back to the middle setting. I am hoping this gets me a good place to start. Can't wait for next weekend! G.B.

The sled looks really good Brett, you did a great job. You'll get to try it out this weekend, and I'll see you up there. ;)!

Thanks guys! I cant wait to try out all my mods this weekend in Muni. G.B.

I finally decided that it was time to move my wiring connectors under the hood and clean up the handle bar wiring. The riser gator worked well and I had no issues with that setup. Just looking for a cleaner look.

I picked up a Apex riser trim ring off a fellow TY member. I have been really happy with my bar height and position and wanted to see if I could use my current Powermadd 1" riser block and Rox 5" pivot riser with the Apex trim ring. I was thinking I could just notch the riser block to match a Apex riser and that should retain the trim ring to the steering post.

As it turned out it worked pretty well. I used a Apex riser as a template (thanks to Nick for loaning me his riser!) and notched the Powermadd riser block as you can see in the pictures below. The outside dimensions of the Powermadd riser block are really close to the Apex riser. The riser block fits a little tighter in the trim ring than the Apex riser. This causes a little bit of effort to attach the front piece of the trim ring. Luckly I dont plan on taking it off too often.

I think I will cut a piece of aluminum sheet to cover the top of the stock handle bar base between clamps. Next I need to splice and extend 20 wires to move the connectors under the hood. I also need to move my Yamaheater under the hood as well. G.B.
