I just started riding sleds a couple of years back. My first sled was a used Venture. I'm now on an RS Vector with power steering. I have a dumb question. What do all those initials (RS, RX, FX and GT) mean and what is their significance? How can a potential buyer use the initials in making a choice? I Love the RSVector...GT or not. Thanks in advance

The RX, RS, and FX are chassis designations and the GT is a trim level or model used with the RS sleds.

RX: 03- 05' / RX1 and Warrior
RS: 05 - 07 / Vector, Rage, Venture
RS / DBII: 08 - current / Vector, Vector LTX, and Venture
FX: 08 - current / Nytro

GT: Yamaha's trim level for "Groomed Trail Sled" used on RS, RS DBII, and Phazer sleds.

Hope this helps. G.B.

Gone Blue... Yes, a great answer to the question. Many thanks.
