Hi all, Could not find anything on this one except for total failure of the gauge. I have an '05 RS Vector that on occassion will have a blank gauge pod on cold startup. After the sled warms up it will come back on and does not happen every day on cold startup. This past weekend it did it again and the headlights were off too. After the engine warmed up a bit they both came back on at the same time. No issues any other time. I have seen moisure inside the gauge lense that was light frosted. Perhaps the moisture from the heat exchanger is freezing up in the electronics causing some type of short? There are NO OTHER electrical issues.
Thanks in advance!

Has happened to me also. Probably some relay gets temporarily frozen. Only lasts a few minutes if that for me as well, and is extremely rare, so no big deal for me. I'm sure someone on the site will be able to tell you which relay it is, and if a new type relay is available. I read somewhere earlier that there maybe a solid state relay available which will not freeze up.

This is totally normal. All of the 4strokes do this. The sled is just conserving energy while it warms up.
This past week it was -13 F in the morning, and it took almost five minutes for my guages/headlight to come on.
If you read the manual, you will see this explained.

no gauge
I was comparing to my '05 RX1 that never has these issues even at -10. Never saw this in the manual...thank you for the responses.

My '05 has been do it this week also! First no gauge at at startup a few days ago then no lights headlights tonight. It has never been stored outside in the -12 F weather before so this was new to me. Thanks for the question and replies!!

My 04 RX Warrior does it as well but not all the time. Our average low hits -35c or -31f sometimes the gauge works and sometimes it don't. I have even had it happen out on the trail after its all warmed up. We make a small stop and go to start the sled and no lights or gauge. till it has run for a minute or so.
