I have a '05 Vector that has a problem with the gauge pod being blank until the machine warms up. All other electrical is fine. Any ideas?

Hold the thumb warmer control down and turn the key on. Continue holding it down for several seconds (I think 10) Does the gauge and lights come on?
There's a relay that powers them on located below the reverse lever on the back side of the plastic. It may have a week coil or a moisture issue and needs replaced.

gauges

It was 27 degrees this morning and it came right on without delay. When it was 10 degrees the gauge pod was blank, but the headlights were on. The gauge came back to life after warm up. Just thought it was odd. My RX1 does not do this at all. Thanks guys!

Pull the relay out and check it for moisture. The contact for the gauge may be sticking (froze). You should be able to pull the cover to inspect it. I've seen several relay issues over the years and most of the the time the problem is moisture.

I believe the outer relay is the one your looking for. The middle relay is for the headlight and the inner one I'm not sure of (carb heater?) I think they are all interchangeable.

Mine and others I've talked to have done that in cold weather from day one............. No biggie.. First time it happened to me I went ooooops.. Now I'm use to it.. MM.

Yup. Like MM says, mine did it first back in '04 when brand new and it has been talked about on this forum for years. It's not going to cause any issues.

Just finishing my first real maintenance on my '05. Had the skid out for the first time and all I found wrong were those two inner idlers. that and the battery finally kicked it. I'm ready for a good ride!

This is normal when it is really cold. Warms up and comes on. Nothing is wrong electrically.
