Is a 12 oz bottle of chaincase lube gonna be enough for an RS Vector with reverse? Thanks.
I'm thinking that bottle will do two machines. I will check my service manual when I get home from work.

Thanks guys. I have 2 sleds to do and picked up 2 bottles at Novi. Should be all set with some extra for later.
I just came in from changing my chaincase oil a few min ago. Before I drained, I noticed the level on the dipstick was ABOVE the reverse line, but filled right in between the middle of thee standard line. I have an 08 Vector LTX GT w/ reverse and I ended up putting in about 8 ounces, which put it right at the "standard" level spec. Hope this helps.

Sure does. I'm going to measure out 8 oz and dump it in tomorrow and see how it comes out. I was going to change it tonight but I just got done changing all of the graphics on the hood and that was a bigger job than I was expecting.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Piece of cake! Very easy job with the sled sitting on dollies. Measured 8 oz and dumped it in. Ended up close to the std level. Ready for some snow!
Don't suppose anyone knows offhand how many ounces of chaincase lube my wife's '99 Phaxer 500 will take?
Thanks.

I believe the phazer is the same amount. Check the sticker on the belt guard. Often this sticker will give capacities, plug info, jetting etc.

Thanks rik. To see it on the trail you'd just think I have a 2 year old stock Nytro unless you happen to notice that the side panels are black instead of gray. Nobody would guess the amount of work and $$ that went into it just to make it look factory. The decals and riser parts weren't cheap, but it was the look and rider position that I was after. Cheaper than a newer sled though! Been a good sled, just needed a little updating.
