The new motor in the RX Venture...Is this a totally new motor or is it out of another Yamaha product...

one of the reviews I have read stated that this motor was designed for the snowmobile. May be an altered version of another (existing) motor but My impression is that this is a new motor.............

I don't think that yamaha has any other 1000 cc triples.

Motor is new
I spoke with the Yamaha rep and he said the 3-cyl motor was designed from the ground up as a snowmobile motor as opposed to the 4-cyl motor which was originally designed for motorcycles. Other major difference is that it revs lower so gear reduction is not needed.
