I don't know if this has been covered before but is there a way to loosen up the tension on the thumb throttle. My sled seems alot stiffer than the Apex therefore I was wanting to decrease the amount of effort needed to power the RS Venture. I hate to admit but my thumb gets tired. By the way mines a 2005. Thanks Ronnie

the differance between your venture and an apex is the apex is efi and does not have to mechanicaly open up carbs to let feul in. as far as making your throttle take less effort im not sure what you can do.

I did a search on the RS archives, and a while back someone mentioned removing the spring from the 3rd carb (PTO side) for less throttle resistance. From what I read, it appears that each carb has a separate throttle spring so if you remove one it should make the throttle pull 30% less. I actually found this information while searching for carb sync techniques and one of the posts talked about this...but sorry I don't have the link now!

pto = power take off, so clutch side.
By removing that spring, hopefully that carb will close when you aren't touching the throttle.
