I need to replace my grip heaters so I bought the RSI with the heat shrink insulators and 8 inch grips. Are the insulators only for alum bars? Any reason I should not be using them on my apex? I also just took my stock grip off and the heaters only have 2 wires and both are black wires.. The heaters from RSI have 3 wires which are red white and blue. Not sure what is going on there. Could have put the red and blue together down further in the wiring harness?

Red and blue go together to one lead and white to the other

Does it matter which lead they go on? Can they be reversed? I just took a quick look but they both look like black wires.. I assume they can go either way to make a circuit? Thanks for the reply

Does not matter. When I did mine I ohmed out the wires from the connector under the dash panel. Connected the red\blue to the black wire that went to the yellow/red(?) and the white to the black that went to the black wire
