I probably shouldn't comment since I dont know anythign about RSI but on other toys when I added sticky grips, the material would start to ball up as they aged and little pices of the material would fall apart.
Not sure if RSI has this issue covered or not, might be worth a call.

I tried the regular grips and the "nice diamond grip surface" quickly wore off leaving the grips with a mostly smooth surface.........
