RSI warmers/ good investment?

the Yamaha heated grip died the second month, so it was cheaper to put the rs1 about half price of the Yamaha, as for the heat, if it is between 0 and -10 there good, lower than that, a little bit beter than the Yamaha but not very much.
I order the yamaheater with booster plug' n play kit and the thumb booster too, Rock say that there is no problem with the rs1 element.

This is more or less my rationale for the RSI elements (and grips came with). Wrt the yamaheaters, I put those on as the nytro heating issue is largely with the ECU and the way it controls power delivered to the heating element. The only two fixes I'm aware of are ECU reprogramming or yamaheater. My grips will heat at idle now!

I never said it would cook your stator, there is a chance of cooking the stator. The electrical on the nytro is not the best, almost overloaded in stock form. To get the RSI grips warm you need to wire the grips with the hi and low together, thus drawing more current with both elements running at the same time. This could overload the stator and with the price of a stator vs yamaheater it's a easy decision for me. If you don't believe me ask rock, he has more experience with the electrical on the yammies then anyone I know of.

Following this.
I severely burned my hands a few years ago so they get that cold/ burning sensation real easy & although I wear some good Arctiva gloves, the grips could be just a few degrees warmer.

Rock, please chime in.

Squirt some spray foam in the bars and get a set of gauntlets/muffs. Best $30 spent on the nytro. You can ride in something as thin as mechanics gloves, even down to -20F.

Haven't ridden in colder air than that, but i'd bet they would be fine. Be careful not to burn your hands.

You get so much more feedback from the bars with the thin gloves, makes the ride wicked pissa
