is it just me or is the 07 rtx seat a lot firmer than the 06 seats? either way, it seems like a nicer seat than my 06 seat was.

Did they change the seat on the GTs and ERs as well?
The Yammi website says they use a firmer foam onn the 07 RTX, but it doesnt say about the GT...

Yes there were some changes,It "FEELS" firmer,but we think it might feel firmer due to the fact they now have this seam pulled into the foam which makes cover tighter.....so it MAY still be the same foam.
Yammie decided to add a SEAM behind your butt...this seam is pulled down into the foam via straps into the trunk...you can see the straps in the trunk when you look into it on 07RTX.
The way I found out was,I had the same issue many had with my 06,the cover became loose from stretching and it would get a bad wrinkle in it where you sit up front....I also had some bad tears due to this loose issue...
Yammie engineers must have noticed this and changed the design to eliminate this problem...NOW the cover is tightly pulled into the foam behind your butt so it cannot get too wrinkled.
My Upholstery guy had to do some specific things to make the 07 cover work,he has done many sled seats and knew exactly what to do to make it work like the 07 does....he used the straps which are already attached to the 07 cover,and cut slots into the FOAM as the 07 has....and then the straps go down into foam,thru plastic bottom shell,then back up into the trunk and rivet there....pretty interestingchanges on 07 seats.
I havent sat on a 07 GT side by side to a 07 RTX,but my guess is they both feel same,and are firmer FEELING then the 06s,strictly due to the redesigned TIGHTNESS off the cover..I can tell you for SURE,my seat FEELS much stiffer NOW with this 07 cover...Mine NOW feels like the 07 RTX I sat on at dealer.
