So the plastic red kill switch button was busted when I bought my sled a month ago. Ordered a new one and as I'm putting it on, I see that the rubber skirt that supposed to keep snow out of the inner workings of the switch/housing is all but gone. I'd rather not buy a whole new assembly. Wondering if I really need to make a big deal out of this?

Maybe I just make sure that as little to no snow gets down in there?? Can't think of any way of putting something in the place of the rubber skirt to mimic it's function.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Maybe put some water proof grease around it where it passes through the housing and avoid using the switch. Just use it for emergency type of thing.

you could put a large diameter o ring on it to hold the snow out. sucks bad when snow/ice/water gets in there.
