Yep.. one thing though, if Yamaha did step up and offered the sidewinder engine and a new turbo 800 in a all new pure Yamaha cutting edge chassis would the true blues even consider the Cat pro cross Side Winder sense that chassis has been so good and trouble free, I think if this was to happen there would be more pro cross Sidewinders and Vipers for sale then you could shake a stick at. LOL....ps I love my xtx ApexIll stick with it being fake news.

Seems to me the sales of procross products has slowed via the non current inventory reduction problem both AC and Yamaha have announced. Next question is if Textron has a new chassis would they share it Yamaha? Textron doesn’t care what happens to Yamaha just not their problem. On the other hand why would Yamaha purchase old chassis technologies from Textron that is old in the tooth going no where in the marketplace? Seems to me Yamaha needs a whole new snowmobile to stimulate the market and can they justify the R&D money then a huge investment to retool somewhere. Imo I’m not seeing a commitment to do that and it would take years to implement and execute a plan like that.Yep.. one thing though, if Yamaha did step up and offered the sidewinder engine and a new turbo 800 in a all new pure Yamaha cutting edge chassis would the true blues even consider the Cat pro cross Side Winder sense that chassis has been so good and trouble free, I think if this was to happen there would be more pro cross Sidewinders and Vipers for sale then you could shake a stick at. I'd rode them all Pro Cross is not that far off any of them and better than some. Why re invent the wheel. You must be drunk on the Doo cool aid. This sport is losing traction anyway with the way it's going with land owners closing trails and so on and no support from the state. They would rather spend millions of dollars on building bike paths and not on the sports that bring in money such as snowmachines and atv's. You need to ask yourself where is this sport gonna be in 10 years, I hate to say it but it does not look good in my eyes.

To have long term success constant R&D investment is necessary. The way snowmobile technology has been evolving in the last 10 to 15 years has been amazing. I can see the next 5 years and what I want from a snowmobile and the 900t Enduro hit most of my hot buttons Poo, AC and Yamaha had nothing for me especially in the 4s 150hp niche. Looking out 10 years was too difficult for me and I’m a user not a manufacturer. Doo and poo are committed to the near and long term future for snowmobiles while both Yamaha and Textron seem uncommitted probably because they aren’t sure it’s worth the investment. We will all be worse off without Yamaha and AC and I would hate to see it happen but if not profitable or profits are limited due to small market share it will take a huge investment to turn the brand around.I'd rode them all Pro Cross is not that far off any of them and better than some. I'm skeptical that the 'true blue' yamaha faithful will ever ride a chassis that isn't built in Japan .Yep.. one thing though, if Yamaha did step up and offered the sidewinder engine and a new turbo 800 in a all new pure Yamaha cutting edge chassis would the true blues even consider the Cat pro cross Side Winder sense that chassis has been so good and trouble free, I think if this was to happen there would be more pro cross Sidewinders and Vipers for sale then you could shake a stick at. And I find it totally bizarre.
The procross is very, very capable. It just needs refining, not scrapped.

An 800hp class turbo 4 stroke won't need 800cc's.If I'm the only one who heard this, I'm not gonna get excited. If someone else heard it, then I will.
Here it is.
a 2 cylinder, 4 - stroke with a turbo (800 class)
light weight design (supposedly the weight of a 2 stroker, but no smoker) HA
oh ya, from YAMAHA.

I find it bizarre that yamaha axed "outdated" delta box chassis, then uses a nearly 10 year old Arctic Cat flimsy Pro Cross chassis, calls it a Yamaha. Even more bizarre is Yamaha guys accepting it. Keep buying them, and they will continue right down that path. A 2 cylinder turbo 4 stroke would be sweet, in a Yamaha built chassis. Doesnt have to be built in Japan, but surly cant be a true Yamaha built in TRF. You dont see Chevy cars being built in a Ford plant. That would just be considered stupid by most.I'm skeptical that the 'true blue' yamaha faithful will ever ride a chassis that isn't built in Japan .

We all will be sledding on electric HO sleds in ten years time if these special interest groups have their way... wonder if Yamaha will still be using the pro cross.I'd rode them all Pro Cross is not that far off any of them and better than some. You really want to go there Delta box and Pro Cross, because there is no comparison the Pro Cross is so much better than a Delta box it's not even comparable. Some of you will never know because your hung up on the Apex but whatever that is your misfortune. As far as not changing anything on the Pro Cross i think they just made changes to the front suspension for 2020. You complains about no changes in 10 years im pretty sure that Ski Doo is still on the same concept of the Rev that came out in 2003, so what is the difference.

Im hung up on reliability. Loose bolts, blown belts, and fked up chaindrives aint appealing to me. If i i wanted to be wrenching on my broken sled, i would buy an Assault. Not an Arctic Cat relic

What ever dude you don't have a clue what a sled should drive and ride like if your still on a Apex. You can make up all the excuses you want they are not even close.

Never ever once been stranded with my Viper but my Apex has broken down on the trail twice with drive bearings and broken rear skid. You should ride that 2001 SXR because it rides way better than that Apex. Well as far as the 2014 Viper goes i will be upgrading next year to either a new Viper or Winder not no Ski Doo for this guy. I don't drink the cool aid but this whole post has gotten me thinking about drinking something else.
